Eight years ago my daughter called me at work mid morning and told me she was in labor. She was due on New Year's Eve but since she was having a scheduled C-section, it was going to be on Dec. 26th. The plan was for me to bring Katya home with me on Christmas night. Well, Natalia had other plans.
My first response to her was, "You can't be in labor as I can't leave work." Real bright, huh?
Natalia was born that day (Friday the 13th) and I didn't get to see her until about the next morning. The dog and I were driving out the driveway before the sun was even up on Saturday so we could get to Brooklyn early in the AM.
Happy 8th birthday Little Boo. I love you and wish I were with you to help celebrate your special day and see the fantastic cake you and your mom made for your party at school today.

Goodness! Eight is a great age. And a birthday on St. Lucy Day!
ReplyDeleteTina, I cannot believe that Tami didn't show you how to post photos when she was with you last. But, at least you are on facebook!
I know the longing you feel:(
ReplyDeleteHope she has a great day!!
It always confuses me. Your Katya is actually not born on the same day my Katya is, but Natasha shares the birthday with my Katya.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to all December 13th kids.
I believe my Katya was born on Wednesday, but her 13th birthday came on the Friday the 13th.
I do hope you will get your wishes come true next year.
